Suhas Arehalli

I am currently a PhD Student in the Cognitive Science department at Johns Hopkins University, working with Tal Linzen.

Prior to that, I was an Undergraduate from 2014 - 2018 majoring in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego and a Research Assistant at the Language Comprehension Lab.

My interests include Psycholinguistics, Natural Language Processing, and Computational Modelling, .

I am particularly interested in the Mechanisms underlying Sentence Processing - what Algorithms does the brain implement to perform Language Comprehension or Production? What Representations does it use? How do we Acquire the knowledge need to do this processing?

I am also passionate about teaching Statistical and Computational Literacy, particularly How Algorithms Can Think About Data and the Societal Impact of those algorithms.
